Water Flow & Filtration System

 


Sediment Filter (5 micron) - Removes any remnants of foreign particles in the water.

Pre-Carbon Filter (5 Micron) - Removes chlorine, bad taste, odour, sediment extant, and THM’s. Focuses on removing lead, copper, chloroform, chemical residuals, herbicides, pesticides, and other volatile organic compounds.

Ultra Filtration Cartridge (0.01 Micron) - Ultra Filtration Cartridge consists of special permanently hydrophilic (water loving) capillary membrane filters. These filters have a highly porous, asymmetric structure in which the feed water follows a path from the large pores on the outside wall to the small pores on the inside wall. Ultra Filter’s patented low-pressure membrane technology is unique for its high flow rates at minimal pressure requirements and its very tight pore size control (0.01 micron). This results in unparalleled removal of organic contaminants, bacteria, and cysts. Characteristics of the UF Cartridge are:

1. Better effect of bacteria removal than any other filtration system.
2. Maximum removal of objection of taste and odour.
3. Minimum removal of beneficial minerals.
4. Removal of organic contaminants.
5. Zero waste of water as opposed to the R/O system.
6. No need for a separate water tank.
7. No added chemicals.

Post-Carbon Block Filter (1 Micron) - A final water "polishing treatment" to removes odour and improve taste.

Ultra Violet Filter (Konia "Water From Air" units only) - The water collected from the air passes through a germicidal ultra violet system. Any harmful substances in the water are killed by treating the water through this double-pass ultra violet flow-chamber using strong ultraviolet rays.

Konia Bio-Control - By this stage water has been passed through the most intensive non-chemical water processing system before it is stored in a food grade stainless steel refrigerated tank and held at close to freezing temperatures. Konia Bio-Control ensures stored chilled water remains fresh at all times using a special system that oxygenates the water 24 hrs per day.

Konia Bio-Control (which is under patent application) is a complete, chemical free, automatic and natural disinfection system providing for full system integrity and backup in the event of any failure in any other filtration stage, or if the Konia unit is damaged or not maintained properly.
